TUSHTi ( Near Zero Malnutrition ) In The Devbhoomi Dwarka District Of Gujarat
Project TUSHTi aims to achieve “near-zero” malnutrition in the Devbhoomi Dwarka district of Gujarat by 2022. TUSHTi project is implemented in partnership with the Government of Gujarat, Nayara Energy and Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar. TUSHTi focuses on “first 1000 days window” through convergence between different departments at state, district, block and village level (for example “AAA” forum) to improve the quality of health and nutrition services provided from the Anganwadi Centres and leveraging the Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Days (VHSNDs). The project will also operationalize technology-enabled, digitized model Health and Wellness Centres providing SMART point-of-care diagnostics to perform vital check-ups for monitoring nutrition-related parameters. The project will mobilize and empower communities through the engagement of community institutions such as Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committees (VHSNCs) as well as Self Help Groups (SHGs) to increase the demand and uptake of services.
